Math FactsMath Facts tests will be referred to as Mad Minutes! Although these are timed tests, they will help us measure and celebrate growth! Each students' growth chart will be located in his or her math notebook. Students will complete a Mad Minute, score their test, graph their success, and set a goal for the next test. Students will practice math facts through a variety of activities, but it is also highly encouraged at home! Freckle Education is a great resource that differentiates student math facts. Please let me know if you need additional resources for math fact practice at home!

Math MatesMath Mates is a packet that includes prerequisite skills for Math 6 and skills beyond Math 6. Students will be expected to practice one worksheet a week. They will receive these packets at the beginning of every quarter. During the first quarter, students will be expected to complete #1-7 by Tuesday, #8-14 by Wednesday, #15-19 by Thursday, and #20-24 by Friday. Math Mate expectations will change each quarter. Although students will have some time in class to work on this packet, it is highly encouraged that they practice at home, on the weekends, and practice managing their time with other activities outside of school! Throughout the year, these packets may be differentiated based on student needs.
